01Controller
The controller is ID-ware Group B.V., Rhone 30, 2491 AP The Hague, The Netherlands (KVK 77271920), telephone +31 70 337 15 00, info@id-ware.com. Data-protection questions go to privacy@id-ware.com.
02Hosting
This website runs in containers on Amazon Web Services in eu-west-2 (London) and is delivered through the Amazon CloudFront content delivery network. The legal basis for the processing that hosting entails is our legitimate interest in operating a fast, secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and UK GDPR).
03Log files
When you visit the site, the infrastructure records standard access and security logs: the requested URL, date and time of access, transferred data volume, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL and IP address. Logs are used solely for security monitoring and operations, are not merged with other data sources, and are retained for up to 90 days. Legal basis: legitimate interest in continuous provision and security (Article 6(1)(f)).
04What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them. Cookies can be technically necessary (the site does not work properly without them), functional (they remember a choice you made) or used for analytics and marketing. This site uses a single functional cookie and nothing else.
05Cookies this site sets
The complete list of cookies set by id-ware.co.uk:
| Cookie name | Provider | Purpose | Lifespan |
|---|---|---|---|
NEXT_LOCALE | ID-ware (this website) | Remembers the display language you last used (English, Dutch, German or Spanish) so the site opens in that language on your next visit. | Session - deleted when you close your browser. |
idw-consent | ID-ware (this website) | Records the choice you made in the cookie notice - whether this site may remember your appearance preference on this device. Stores no identifier and is never used to track you. | 12 months, or until you clear it. Choosing again replaces it. |
_lfa | Leadfeeder | Set only if you accept analytics. Lets Leadfeeder recognise a later visit from this browser as the same visit rather than a new one. | 365 days, or until you clear it. Declining or withdrawing consent removes it. |
Which organisation you visit from. This site uses lead generation tools from Leadfeeder, Kalevankatu 6, 00100 Helsinki, Finland. Leadfeeder matches the IP address recorded for your visit against information about companies and returns an organisation, not the name of a person. We use it to see which organisations are interested in our products so that our team can follow up. This matching happens whether or not you accept the analytics cookie, and we rely on our legitimate interests in understanding and following up business interest in our products. The cookie in the table above is separate: it lets Leadfeeder recognise a later visit from this browser as the same visit, it is stored only with your consent, and declining it does not stop the matching described here. Leadfeeder acts as our processor under a data processing agreement. You can withdraw consent for the cookie at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer, and you can object to this processing using the contact details below.
Only the analytics cookie needs your consent, and it is not stored unless you give it. You can accept it, decline it, or change your mind at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. Declining leaves the strictly necessary cookies above, which the site cannot work without, and the preference cookie only if you allowed it.
Two other things are kept in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie. The first is the record of the choice you make here, mirrored so it survives clearing your cookies - that is part of honouring the choice, so it is always kept. The second only exists if you allow preferences above: the light or dark appearance you chose and, if you used the photo demo, which camera you picked. Neither is ever sent to us. Decline preferences and nothing of the second kind is kept: the site follows your device's own light or dark setting on every visit, and anything you choose in the meantime lasts only until you close the tab.
Third-party cookies. Leadfeeder, described above, is the only third party that sets a cookie here, and only once you have agreed to analytics. Links to external sites (for example our LinkedIn page) are plain links - nothing is embedded here and those sites set no cookies through this one. If you buy or start a trial, checkout happens on Stripe's own pages at stripe.com, where Stripe sets its own cookies under the Stripe cookie policy.
06Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings, including the one functional cookie this site sets - the site keeps working; it simply forgets your language choice. Instructions: Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Edge. For processing based on legitimate interest you may object with effect for the future via privacy@id-ware.com.
07TLS encryption
All traffic between your browser and this website is encrypted in transit using TLS (HTTPS), including anything you submit through the enquiry form or the chat assistant.
08Enquiry form
If you contact us through the enquiry form, we process your name, work email, company and message in order to respond. We use the staging record to respond and, when configured, send an internal notification to sales@id-ware.co.uk. The record expires 90 days after collection and is then queued for automatic deletion by AWS; physical removal may complete shortly after expiry. Legal bases: Article 6(1)(b) (steps prior to a contract) and Article 6(1)(f) (responding to enquiries). Details are in the privacy statement.
09LinkedIn company page
We operate a company page on LinkedIn, which this site links to. For the page-insights processing connected with that page, ID-ware and LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company (Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland) are joint controllers; LinkedIn has assumed primary responsibility under the joint-controller addendum, and ID-ware receives only aggregated statistics. Visits to the LinkedIn page may involve transfers to LinkedIn Corporation in the USA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: legitimate interest in an effective company presence (Article 6(1)(f)).
10Your rights
